FUEL HOSE

1. Remove the left side cowling by

referring to the FUEL TANK

REMOVAL section.

2. Lift up the fuel tank and inspect

the fuel hose for damage and fuel

leakage. If any defects are found,

the fuel hose must be replaced.

NOTE: Be careful not to lift the fuel

tank forcibly.

ENGINE OIL

Long engine life depends much on

the selection of a quality oil and the

periodic changing of the oil. Daily oil

level checks and periodic changes

are two of the most important mainte-

nance items to be performed.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK

Follow the procedure below to inspect

the engine oil level.

1. Place the motorcycle on level

ground on the side stand.

2. Start the engine and run it for

three minutes.

3. Stop the engine and wait three

minutes.

4. Hold the motorcycle vertically and

inspect the engine oil level

through the engine oil level

inspection window on the right

side of the engine. The engine oil

level should be between “L” (low)

and “F” (full) lines.
