Sensor does not ‘see’ animals:
1/ The Sensor needs an unobstructed view of the animal. 2/ Install so the Sensor
views animals walking ACROSS the viewing area, not toward the Sensor. 3/ The
Sensor must be installed about the same height as the animal. 4/ Clean the Sensor
with a damp cloth. 5/ On hot days, the Sensor may not detect the animal’s heat. This
is unavoidable if the temperature of the animal and surroundings are about equal. 6/
An animal moving very slowly or very fast may not be detected.
7/ Cold-blooded
animals can’t be detected. 8/ Try a new set of batteries.
Sprinkler is spraying as soon as water is connected.
Install batteries or replace the batteries.
Sprinkler is not spraying:
1/ Your water tap might be switched off. 2/ Water pressure may be too high or too
low. 3/ Your hose might be kinked. 4/ Your hose might be blocked. 5/ Check for
blockage at the In-Line Water Filter. 6/Try a new set of batteries.
Sprinkler is spraying without much force:
1/ Your water tap MUST be fully on. 2/ Debris may be blocking the In-Line Water
Filter. Check and clean. 3/ Your hose may be kinked. 4/ Your hose may be blocked.
Sprinkler is activating when no animal is present:
1/ If the device has moved recently, allow 10 minutes to stabilise to its new heat
environment. 2/ Try a lower Sensitivity Control number. 3/ Avoid pointing toward:
◊
Areas where people or pets regularly pass by.
◊
Foliage that might move about in the breeze.
◊
Dappled sunlit areas that might fluctuate in brightness and heat intensity.
◊
Upwards toward the sky.
◊
Sources of hot air movement, e.g. Air-conditioning equipment, roof areas, etc.
◊
Moving water.
◊
Car headlights.
