The  omniTRAX™  provides  clinicians  automatic  image  registration
of  fused  images  for  uninterrupted  navigation  when  using  real-time
ultrasound with previously acquired CT volume data sets. This two-part
system  consists  of  omniTRAX™,  a  disposable  locating  device  and  a
reusable general purpose electromagnetic sensor.

Compatible  with  imaging  systems  with  navigation  technology,  this
device  allows  physicians  to  quickly  and  accurately  register  patient
anatomy eliminating a tedious manual image registration. When placed
on  the  sternum  or  any  solids  parts  of  the  body  (such  as  ribs),
omniTRAX™  can  be  used  to  synchronise  images  for  viewing  the
needle path with a moving target. omniTRAX™ features multiple fixed
reference points, visible under CT and ultrasound, in an accurate three-
dimensional  array  which  allows  for  connection  of  CIVCO's  general
purpose sensor. The active patient tracker offers an adhesive base for easy
patient application and removal.
