Serial ATA Ports

There are six Serial ATA Ports from Intel
AHCI (I-SATA 0-5) are located on the moth-
erboard. I-SATA 0/1 support SATA 3.0 and
I-SATA 2-5 are SATA 2.0 ports. In addition,
four SATA 2.0 (SCU-SATA0-3) connections
from Intel SCU are also located on the moth-
erboard. These ports provide serial-link
signal connections, which are faster than the
connections of Parallel ATA. See the table
on the right for pin definitions.

SAS Ports (X9DR7-LN4F Only)

Eight SAS Ports (SCU 0-3, 4-7) are located on the X9DR7-LN4F to provide Serial
_Attached SCSI connections. These ports are supported by the LSI 2308 SAS
controller. See the table on the right for pin definitions.
