1-2 Processor and Chipset Overview
Built upon the functionality and the capability of the Intel E5-2600(v2) Series Pro-
cessors (Socket R LGA 2011) and the C602 chipset, the X9DAX-iF/-7F/-iTF/-7TF
motherboard provides the performance and feature sets required for dual_pro-
cessor-based high-end workstation platforms.
With support of Intel QuickPath interconnect (QPI) Technology, the X9DAX-iF/-7F/-
iTF/-7TF offers point-to-point serial interconnect interface with a transfer speed of
up to 8.0 GT/s, providing superb system performance.
The C602 chipset provides extensive IO support, including the following functions
and capabilities:
