Chapter 1: Introduction

Onboard Controllers/Ports

One Fast UART 16550 compatible serial port, one 9-pin RS-232 port and a

Mellanox

Infi niBand (on 2027TR-H72QRF and 2027TR-H72FRF servers only)

supporting a single QSFP connector are located on the serverboard. The color-

coded I/O ports include one COM port, a VGA (monitor) port, two USB 2.0 ports

(an additional internal USB header is included on the serverboard), an IPMI 2.0

dedicated LAN port and two Ethernet ports.

The X9DRT-HF/HIBQF/HIBFF features an integrated Matrox

G200eW Video

Controller.

Infi niBand

The 2027TR-H72QRF server includes a QDR (quad data rate) speed Infi niBand

QSFP connector. The 2027TR-H72FRF server includes a FDR (fourteen data rate)

speed Infi niBand QSFP connector. Infi niBand is a scalable serial communications

link intended for connecting processors with high-speed peripherals.

Other Features

Other onboard features that promote system health include onboard voltage

monitors, a chassis intrusion header, auto-switching voltage regulators, chassis and

CPU overheat sensors, virus protection, node manager software and BIOS rescue.
