SC808 Chassis Manual

The drives are mounted in drive carriers to simplify their installation and removal 

from  the  chassis.  These  carriers  also  help  promote  proper  airflow  in  the  drive 

bays.

Installing a Drive into the Hard Drive Carrier

Remove the two screws securing the dummy drive to the drive carrier.

1. 

Lift the dummy drive up and out of the carrier.

2. 

Warning:  Except  for  short  periods  of  time  (swapping  hard 

drives), do not operate the server with the carriers abscent.
