A1SRM-LN7F/LN5F Series Motherboard User’s Manual
1-2 Processor Overview
The A1SRM-LN7F/LN5F Series motherboard supports a 2nd-generation 64-bit,
Intel
®
Atom™ C2000 22nm 3-D Tri-Gate SoC (System-on-a-Chip) communication
processor based on low-power Silvermont microarchitecture in an FCBGA 1283
package (C2758 or C2358 formerly Rangeley). Built upon the functionality and
capability of the C2000 Series processor in the low-power 22nm microarchitecture,
the A1SRM-LN7F/LN5F Series motherboard provides unprecedented enhance-
ments to network routing, internet security, system performance, and power ef-
ficiency.
The C2000 SoC Series processor features an Out-of-Order Execution Engine and
offers new multi-core and system fabric architecture capable of utilizing eight or two
CPU cores to achieve improved single-thread performance. This new SoC processor
also provides an operating range with wider dynamic power and enhanced power
management. In addition, the A1SRM-LN7F/LN5F Series motherboard supports
Intel
®
Quickassist Technology, which provides hardware acceleration to help en-
hance cryptographic performance, secure internet traffic, and boost network routing,
freeing up processor resources for application processing. The A1SRM-LN7F/LN5F-
2358 model also supports Intel
®
Turbo Boost Technology, which offers turbo-boost
capabilities to maximize system performance.
