Do not pick up the server with the front handles. They are designed to pull
the system from a rack only.
Slide rail mounted equipment is not to be used as a shelf or a work space.

2.3 Installing the Rails
There are a variety of rack units on the market, which may require a slightly different assembly
procedure. Do not use a two post "telco" type rack.
This rail set fits a rack between 26.5"
and 36.4" deep.
The following is a basic guideline for installing the system into a rack with the rack mounting
hardware provided. You should also refer to the installation instructions that came with the
specific rack you are using.
Installing the Rails onto the Rack
The front and rear ends of each rail have a locking latch. This latch is used to attach the
rails to the rack.
To mount the rails onto the rack, first extend them by releasing the inner rails from the outer
rails.
1. Using a screwdriver, loosen the screws holding the inner rail in place inside the outer
rail.
