Installing the Backplane
1. Ensure that all of the hard drive trays have been removed from the bays in the front of
the chassis.
2. Secure the side mounting bracket to the backplane with the six screws provided.
3. Slide the backplane into the chassis at a slight angle, pushing it up against the side of
the chassis.
4. Ease the backplane forward, against the front of the chassis. This will aid in the
alignment of the mounting holes.
5. Align the mounting holes in the backplane with the holes in the chassis. Replace the
four screws at the top of the backplane (5A) and the screw on the side of the chassis
(5B).
6.
Adjust the spring bar, then tighten the spring bar screws in the floor of the chassis.
7. Reconnect all cables and return the hard drive trays to their bays in the front of the
chassis.
