Chapter 5: Advanced Motherboard Setup

HD LED Indicator

The HD LED connector is located

at J69. This LED indicates activ-

ity on any hard drive (IDE, SCSI or

CD-ROM).

Speaker

A speaker header is located at

J69. You may disable the onboard

speaker by jumping the last two

pins of this connection or use all

four pins as a header for an ex-

ternal speaker.

Power LED

The Power LED connection (lo-

cated on J69 on the P4DLR and is

used to inform you that power is

being supplied to the motherboard.

Third Power Supply Fail
Header

Connect a cable from your power

supply to the JP46 header to pro-

vide warning of power supply fail-

ure. The warning signal is passed

through the PWR_LED pin on JF1

to provide indication of a power

failure on the chassis.

Note:

This

feature is only available when us-

ing triple redundant Supermicro

power supplies. See the table on

the right for pin definitions.
