4.3 Ports
KVM/VGA Connector
JKVM1 supports KVM/VGA (UART) connections on the I/O back panel to provide console
redirection support or remote networking interface. Using the adapter provides two USB ports
(USB0/1) and two Ethernet ports.
KVM Port
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Ports
Two Universal Serial Bus 2.0 ports (USB0/1) are supported using the adapter in the KVM port.
Ethernet Ports
Two Ethernet ports are provided by means of an add-on module mounted in the Micro-LP
expansion slot.
4.4 Jumpers
Explanation of Jumpers
To modify the operation of the motherboard, jumpers are used to choose between optional
settings. Jumpers create shorts between two pins to change the function associated with it.
Pin 1 is identified with a square solder pad on the printed circuit board. See the motherboard
layout page for jumper locations.
Note:
On a two-pin jumper, "Closed" means the jumper is on both pins and "Open" indicates
the jumper is either on only one pin or has been completely removed.
