Installing Fixed 2.5" Hard Drives
The 2.5" hard drives must be installed in brackets before they are screwed into the chassis.
Begin by removing power from the system as described in section 3.1 and remove the chassis
cover.
1. Insert up to two 2.5" hard drives into the hard drive bracket.
2. Secure the 2.5" hard drives to the bracket with the screws provided.
3. Place the hard drive bracket in the chassis as illustrated in Figure 3-12.
4.
Secure the hard drive bracket to the floor of the chassis using the four screws provided.
5. Connect the power and data cables to the motherboard.
System Cooling
Two 4-cm PWM fans provide the cooling for the system. Each fan unit is actually made up of
two fans joined back-to-back, which rotate in opposite directions. This counter-rotating action
generates exceptional airflow and is effective in dampening vibration levels.
The chassis provides two additional open fan housings, where an additional system fan may
be added for optimal cooling.
It is very important that the chassis top cover is installed for the cooling air to circulate properly
through the chassis and cool the components.
