Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

2. Remove the expansion card assembly from the chassis and then remove the PCI slot

shield (the L-shaped bracket) from the assembly that is associated with the slot on the
chassis you wish to populate, as shown above.

3. Install the riser card into the riser card bracket.

4. Insert the PCI expansion card into the riser card.

5. Insert the expansion card assembly into the motherboard.
