PCI Expansion Card Installation
Each node includes pre-installed riser cards (RSC-P-6-X2 and RSC-PR-6-X2) that position
standard-sized PCIe x16 cards at a 90 degree angle, allowing it to fit inside the chassis.
Installing PCI Expansion Cards
The riser cards are pre-installed onto the motherboard drawer. Perform the following steps
to install add-on cards to the riser cards.
Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1.
1. Remove the node from the chassis by pulling on the pulling ears.
2. Remove the screw at the center of the bracket.
3. For each riser card bracket remove two screws. The location of the two screws depend
on the riser card. See Figure 3-3 below.
4. Insert the add-on card into the riser card.
5. Insert the riser card plus bracket into the PCIe slot.
6. For each riser card bracket, replace the two screws.
