Chapter 1

Introduction

1-1 Overview

The 5038AD-I is a high-end system comprised of two main subsystems: the

GS5A-753R mid-tower chassis and the C7X99-OCE single Intel® processor

motherboard. Please refer to our web site for information on operating systems

that have been certifi ed for use with the system 5038AD-I (

www.supermicro.com

In addition to the motherboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the system 5038AD-I, as listed below:

One (1) rear exhaust fan

Two (2) chassis 3.5" HDD cage (MCP-220-GS504-0N)

•

One (1) chassis 2.5" HDD cage (MCP-220-GS505-0N)
