Testing
To check the trip current level of the Sensorform EFI the following test should
be conducted:
1. Ensure that the external power CT is attached to a conductor carrying
minimum 50A for a period greater than 40 minutes.
2. Generate a fault current less than 90% of the set trip current in a
current carrying conductor running through the CT sensor. For
example, for a trip level of 50A, set the fault current to 45A. This should
not trip the unit.
3. Generate a fault current greater than 110% of the set trip current, (e.g.
55A for a trip level of 50A) for a period of minimum 1 second. This
should trip the unit.
4. Should a minimum of 10A be still flowing in the conductor to which the
Power CT is attached, the unit should reset after a period of 10
seconds.
