C. SWING-AWAY FOOTRESTS 

1. Installation

a) Place swing-away pivot pin (A) into

the locating hole (B) on top of the
hanger mount with the footrest facing
outward from frame.

b) Rotate the footrest inward until latch

plate locks into place on locking bolt.

2. Removal

a) To remove footrest, press quick-

release lever (C).

b) Rotate footrest outward and lift.

3. Height Adjustment

a) Remove bolts (D) and washer from

the hanger tube.

b) Reposition footplate by aligning holes

and reinstalling bolts (D).
Additional range available with other
length extension tubes.

D. ELEVATING LEGREST (OPTIONAL)

1. Installation

To install or remove Elevating Legrest
(ELR) see instructions for Swing-away
Footrest installation above.

2. Adjustment

a) To raise legrest, lift to desired position.

Legrest will automatically lock in place.

b) To lower legrest, while seated in chair,

first lift slightly, then press release
lever (E) up and lower legrest to
desired position.

E. INTEGRAL JOYSTICK

1. To Connect

a) Line up receptacle on large

rectangular connector (Beau
Connector) located behind the seat
with the pins on the connecter
located on the joystick harness.

b) Push in firmly.

2. To Disconnect

Pull up on connector until it disconnects
from the frame mounted receptacle,
located behind the seat.

A. BATTERY REMOVAL

To remove the batteries for transporting
or servicing:

I. Remove Batteries

a) Lift up deck lid (A).
b) Unplug and remove batteries from

rear of chair (B).

c) Lift up batteries by lifting up on 

battery straps (C).

II. Alternate Battery Removal

Recommended method for Group 24
batteries.

a) Remove seat by removing quick-

release pins attaching seat to mount.

b) Lift seat off seat mounts.
c) Release all release levers (D) on the

top of the shroud cover.

d) Remove the shroud cover to expose

the batteries.

e) Unplug and lift up batteries by 

lifting up on the battery straps.

Batteries may weigh up to 55 lbs. Care
must be taken to avoid injury when
lifting up on battery straps (C).

B. FOOTPLATE HEIGHT

ADJUSTMENT

1. Installation

The single footplate can be adjusted to
three different settings.To change the
height of the footplate:

Remove bolt (A)

Move footplate to desired height

Re-install bolt (A) through desired
hole
