ONFIGURATION
You can select the system log events and SMTP events. When selected events occur, the system will send out the log
information. Also,
each port log
and SMTP events can be selected. After configure, Click
Apply
.
System event selection:
4 selections – Device cold start, Device warm start, SNMP Authentication Failure, and
X-ring topology change. Mark the checkbox to select the event. When selected events occur, the system will
issue the logs.

Device cold start:
when the device
executes
cold start, the system will issue a log event.
¾
Device warm start:
when the device
executes
warm start, the system will issue a log event.
¾
Authentication Failure:
when the SNMP authentication fails, the system will issue a log event.
Port event selection:
select the per port events and per port SMTP events. It has 3 selections – Link UP, Link Down,
and Link UP & Link Down. Disable means no event is selected.
¾
Link UP:
the system will issue a log message when port connection is up only.
¾
Link Down:
the system will issue a log message when port connection is down only.
¾
Link UP & Link Down:
the system will issue a log message when port connection is up and down.
