4. Detach the wrist strap and replace the cover.

5. Power on the system.

Speaker
To remove and install the internal speaker, proceed as follows.
Removing the Speaker
1. Remove power from the system.
See “Removing Power from the System” on page 45.
2. Remove the cover and attach a wrist strap.
See Chapter 7.
Caution –
Use proper ESD grounding techniques when handling components. Wear
an antistatic wrist strap and use an ESD-protected mat. Store ESD-sensitive
components in antistatic bags before placing it on any surface.
Caution –
Avoid damaging the speaker surface; use care when working near or
handling the speaker. Do not touch the speaker diaphragm with tools or fingers.
Grasp the speaker by the metal edges.
3. Remove the triangular-shaped speaker cover from the unit front as follows:

The speaker cover is secured by three tabs; one tab is on the cover top and
two tabs are on the cover bottom (see
FIGURE 8-8
).
a. Insert the tip of a small flat-blade screwdriver between the speaker cover and
the chassis. Press the top cover tab outward slightly to release it from the
chassis slot.
