Secure Shell - SSH
Secure shell (openssh) connections use shared key encryption to protect the data transmitted
between client and server. This is a very secure form of text-mode terminal connection. The SSH
Connection Details window is simple, with just four fields.
The Connection name and Server fields are common to all connections. As with other connections,
the “Server” field should be filled in with the DNS network name or IP address of the ssh server.
The port defaults to 22, the usual port on which ssh server daemons run. The “Username” field is
optional. If left blank, the user will be asked for a username when the connection is started.
