Please miss steps 5.4.1(a) to 5.4.4(a) if connect with Pex fitting or PVC fitting. the valve doesn’t need to disassemble.

Apply Teflon tape on the thread of valve body and connect to supply pipe and shower pipe with Pex fitting. [hot left, cold right].
