PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT
The intervals at which the compressor loads, modulates and unloads are controlled by adjustable settings.
The load and unload settings are adjusted within the microprocessor (the unload setting is typically 10 psi
over the customer’s required system pressure). The modulating pressure is adjusted on the control pres
-
sure regulating valve. These settings are preset at the factory based on the original order. If it is necessary
to adjust these settings, follow the procedures below.
NOTE!
For more information about the air inlet and capacity control system refer to

.
1.
Follow
procedures (optional).
2.
If the compressor is equipped with the optional canopy, remove the front
left access door panel. The pressure control regulating valve is located
behind this enclosure panel, to the right of the electrical control panel.
3.
Tighten the adjusting screw on the pressure control regulating valve about
one turn to remove the modulating control while adjusting the load and
unload settings on the CPS.
4.
Adjust the modulating pressure by loosening the adjusting screw on the
pressure control regulating valve until air is being vented at the pressure
that is requried per face of order. Refer to
5.
Lock the adjusting screw of the pressure control regulating valve in place.
6.
Put the cover back on the CPS.
7.
Put the front left access door panel back on the compressor.
