Maintaining the Sulky
• Check all moving parts before each trip or tour to ensure they still move freely.
• After each trip with the Sulky, check that all nuts are still tight and tighten them if necessary.
• Check and lubricate the roller bearings regularly with a water repellent lubricant (PTFE).
• Check for metal fatigue by looking for visible cracks in the metal. Have the component in question
replaced immediately if these are present.
• Check the tyre pressure regularly.
• Check the Sulky for rust and treat this with the generally applicable products as soon as possible, as
rust weakens the material.
