Safety
You must comply with the local traffic rules and regulations for riding with a pony and cart in publicly
accessible (nature) areas and/or on public roads at all times. In this user manual, a Sulky is synonymous
with a pony cart.
The driver of the Sulky is liable at all times for failure to (properly) comply with the traffic rules and must
be aware of the rules that apply to the use of a Sulky. Sulkys.eu accepts no liability for failure to comply
(properly) with the generally applicable regulations and this user manual.
The Sulky is always subjected to strict checks after manufacture. If you notice damage or defects after
checking the Sulky yourself, inform your dealer immediately.
General safety instructions:
The Sulky is suitable for ponies with a maximum shoulder height of 150 cm (class E). Our Sulkys have
been extensively tested up to this height. Please note: the maximum shoulder height varies between
Sulkys. Check www.Sulkys.eu for the correct shoulder height.
Sulky accepts no responsibility whatsoever if this Sulky is used with an animal with a shoulder height
greater than 150 cm.
Our Sulkys are designed and tested for safe, recreational road use and are not tested – and are thus un-
suitable – for extreme, intensive or sporting use.
Ensuring that the Sulky is clean and dry before storing it will guarantee many years of enjoyment. Made-
to-measure storage covers are available for correct storage.
The Sulky has several moving and sprung components. Please ensure that you only sit on the bench seat
while driving.

Wheels
Ensure that your tyres are inflated to the correct pressure. Among other benefits, this ensures that the
pony can pull the Sulky more easily.
Regularly check that the wheels are tightened to the correct torque (95 Newton).
The Sulky is manufactured with the greatest care. This also applies to the tyres. We have specifically
chosen an outer tyre with an air-filled inner tube, as this gives the greatest riding comfort. However, this
means the tyres must be checked regularly for leaks and wear. The pressure (bar) is also very important.
The correct pressure can be read on the tyre. (KPa / 100 = pressure in bar, generally 225 KPa = 2.25 bar)
It is also important that the wheels are not used to climb onto the cart. The wheels can be slippery in wet
weather. This means there is a major risk of falling, which can lead to injuries.
