NoWire 2100 Specifics
11.1
Features different from NoWire 1100
Following are the features and descriptions of how NoWire 2100 differs from NoWire 1100.
11.1.1
Ethernet and Wifi
Ethernet and Wifi are built in to the hardware.
•
Truly plug and play to upload data to the cloud when you plug in an active Internet connection.
•
If you set your Wifi credentials (SSID & password) it will also utilize your Wifi connection for data
upload.
•
No need to select between Ethernet and Wifi. If you have your Wifi credentials configured it
will switch between Ethernet and Wifi if the Ethernet connection has problems. Similarly if your
Wifi connection has problems it will switch to the Ethernet connection. It will keep switching to
the other until a good Internet connection is established.
11.1.2
Multiple LEDs for easy troubleshooting
REMOTE LED:
•
Left LED Off when no Internet connection established
•
Left LED On when a connection to the Internet is established
•
Right LED blinking when data is being uploaded
•
Right LED solid On when data upload complete
METERS LEDs:
•
Green LED off and Red LED solid on when no input points have their Display option set to YES. If
no inputs are being displayed then no data will be shown online via MeterData.
•
Green LED on when at least one input point has its Display option set to YES.
•
Green LED flickers when transmitter wireless data received.
•
Red LED blink codes:
o
1 blink: An input point with its Display option set to YES has no transmitter assigned .
o
2 blinks: An input point hasn’t been seen for 24 hours (Z ), has a leak alert (L), or a non-
advancing alert (N)
o
3 blinks: A transmitter has a low battery
o
4 blinks: A transmitter case is open (T) or the transmitter has been reset (R)
ENET LEDs:
•
Green LED solid on when Ethernet has established a connection to the Internet
•
Green LED blinking when Ethernet attempting to establish a connection to the Internet
•
Red LED blink codes:
o
1 blink: No IP address found. Check to be sure your Ethernet cable is connected to
NoWire and your network has DHCP support to supply an IP address. If you can surf the
internet when your laptop is connected to Ethernet cable that you plug into NoWire
then your network should be fine.
o
2 blinks: No access to the internet
o
5 blinks: Retrying communications to the NoWire Ethernet hardware.
WIFI LEDs:
•
Both Green and Red LED remain off. No Wifi SSID name set. To set and use Wifi go to System
Items and select “SI: Wifi Scan/Set”
•
Green LED solid on when Wifi has established a connection to the Internet
•
Green LED blinking when Wifi attempting to establish a connection to the Internet
