The V-belts of the principal motor should be kept tight, in order to
ensure transmission of the power to the grinding stone. Adjust
the belts when necessary, or at least once every year. If a brief
squeaking is heard when the grinding stone is started, the V-belts
are too slack and should be tightened.
To adjust:

Disconnect the main power.

Remove the cover plate for the Recirculation Cooling Unit

Unscrew the 4 Allen screws securing the bottom cover and
remove the cover.
„
Unscrew the 2 Allen screws securing the cover plate and slide
the plate off.
„
Loosen the locking nut

Adjust the spindle

in such way that a load of about 15 N
applied to the belt

at a point half-way between the two
pulleys will cause the belt to move about 8 mm.
„
Tighten locking nut after the adjustment.
