REFRIGERATION FUNDAMENTALS [FOR TRAINED SERVICE PROVIDERS ONLY]
Note: The Following Information is for Self-Contained Units Only
Temperature Control Access
Assembly or disassembly and servicing to be accomplished by licensed electrical / refrigeration
contractor.
Temperature control module is located inside the electrical box.
Electrical box is on the back of the case on the right hand side.
Loosen screws securing electrical box cover and rotate clear of locking flange.
If a temperature setting change is required, refer to temperature control access in
CAREL®
CONTROLLER INFORMATION
section of manual.
Refrigeration Package: Access, Connections & Servicing
Assembly or disassembly and servicing to be accomplished by licensed refrigeration
contractor.
Servicing refrigerant is accomplished from the rear of the case.
Service connections are located to the right, on the case base assembly.
Refrigerant lines are flexible to facilitate rear access maintenance to condenser.
Plastic glides are mounted to the unit base to assist in sliding the condenser out for access.

Note: Condenser unit does not slide to the front.
Remove rear grille and set grille aside.
Withdraw unit using pull flanges on both sides of
condenser frame.
Evaporator Pan Access and Removal
Warning: Evaporator pan may be hot. Allow the
Evaporator Pan to cool approximately 30-minutes
before cleaning.
Turn off power. Disconnect case from power source.
Remove front grille.
Remove Evaporator Pan Mounting Screws.
Insure evaporator pan is unplugged at the 110V
receptacle inside base.
Withdraw evaporator pan.
Empty evaporator pan contents into a suitable
container.
Thoroughly clean evaporator pan with de-scaling
solution, such as
CLR®
. Rinse thoroughly.
DO NOT
submerse in water.
Use clean towel dipped in soap and water solution to
wipe down all fans, motor, refrigeration lines, cords,
knobs, sight glass, connectors and all other surfaces.
Wipe dry.
Reposition Evaporator Pan on Compressor Pan.
Reattach mounting screws to Evaporator Pan.
Reconnect Evaporator Pan electrical connections.
Replace Front Grille.
