Instructions for use
Needles: STROBEL 1669 E Astro, No. 80 – 110
(Usual needle size 90)
Needles and Threads
Thread: Mercerized cotton (such as Gögginger padding yarn 80)

This machine has been set and sewn off with genuine
Strobel needles .
No guarantee can be granted if the settings are modified
for using different needle types.

The course of thread can be seen from

passes through the boring on the upper part of the yarn stand, then to the
thread guide 216.0505 (according to the thread, through one to three holes),
thread tension discs 184.0183, to the front hole in the thread guide 216.0505,
then through the eyelet on the needle lever and finally to the needle, where it is
threaded upwards through the eye.
4.3
The stitch depth setting knob 444.0322 is clearly visible on the front of the
material support arm 110.0205 and easily accessible.
Setting stitch depth (Fig. 1 and 2)
1. Turning the setting knob to the left until material support arm 110.0205
touches stop 176.0702 results in the highest position of the material
support arm, giving a deep penetration of the needle.
2. Turning setting knob to the right results in lowering the material support
arm, giving a shallow penetration of the needle.
For through stitching, the material support arm should always be in its highest
position, setting knob 444.0322 must always be turned to the extreme left until
the material support arm hits the stop.
