Carry out refitting, setting and cleaning work only when the motor is switched off. Pull the power
plug. An experienced worker can carry out minor repairs on the machine alone. Repair and mainte-
nance work on the electrical system may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. All protec-
tive and safety devices must be reattached immediately after completed repair and maintenance
work.
Hydraulic oil check and replacement:
1. Make sure all moving parts stop and the log splitter is unplugged.
2. Unscrew oil drain screw to remove it.
3. Turn the log splitter on the support leg side over a capacity container to drain the hydraulic oil off.
Recycle carefully!
4. Turn your machine on the motor side to refill about 2,8 l fresh oil.
5. Clean the surface of the dip stick on the oil drain bolt and put it back into the oil tank while keeping
the log splitter vertically. Make sure the level of the refilled oil is just between 2 grooves around the
dip stick.
6. Clean the oil drain bolt before threading it back. Make sure it is tightened to avoid leakage before
placing the log splitter horizontally.
Afterwards start splitting without actually splitting log several times.
Periodically check oil level. Upon low oil level oil refilling is required.
Dispose of the used oil in a correct manner at a public collection facility. It is prohibited to drop old
oil on the ground or to mix it with waste.
We recommend the following hydraulic oils:
Hydraulic oil ISO VG 46 & ISO VG 68
Sharpening wedge:
After using the log splitters for some time, sharpen the wedge of the log splitter using a fine-
toothed file and smooth any burrs or crushed area along the cutting edge.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE:

The log splitter is equipped with transport wheels. Grasp the transport handle and lift it up. Before
moving your machine, make sure the bleed screw is tightened to avoid oil leaking from this point.
The log pusher will automatically go back to its original position.
Store log splitter in a closed, dry and flat place. The device must be stored out of the reach of
unauthorized persons, especially it must be protected from children.
