This appendix discusses how to remove and replace a U779V 1U 24-Port 16-Gb Fibre
Channel Fabric Switch. This fabric switch is based on the Brocade
®
6510 switch.
Remove a U779V fabric switch to replace it. See the following sections:


N O T I C E
If you are removing the bottom U779V fabric switch,
open the packing materials for the replacement switch
before you perform either of the procedures described in
this appendix. The packing materials include a 1U foam
spacer that is required when you remove and replace the
bottom fabric switch.
Removing a U779V Fabric Switch
N O T E
The front of the fabric switch, where the cables attach to
ports, is at the rear of the cabinet. The rear of the fabric
switch, where the power cables attach, is at the front of
the cabinet.
