7. Press the U916 PCI card gently but firmly into the PCI connector.
8. Install and tighten the PCI card retaining screw so that cable insertion or removal
does not move the card ( s ee Figure 3-6 for a Netra 20/T4 example).
9. Install the chassis cover. (This can be done either before or after installing the
cables.)
10. Power on the system and connect the cables (see “Connecting the Cable”). The
cables can be connected either before or after the system has power.
N O T E
When adding a U916 PCI card after SINAP/SS7 is already
installed, you need to uninstall and reinstall ARTICrpq,
configure nodes, and configure links. (This is not
necessary if you are simply replacing a broken card in the
same slot.) See the
SINAP/SS7 Installation Guide
(R8060).
