Interface description
Outer sheath – working in-
sert
The working insert and outer sheath can be connected to each
other via the bayonet lock. Please note that only working inserts
and outer sheaths of the same length and size may be com-
bined.
Outer sheath – handle
At the proximal end, HF handles can be coupled in combination
with insulated outer sheaths for working inserts. Uninsulated
sheaths can only be assembled with metal handles without an
HF connection. Insulated sheaths can be assembled with metal
handles.
HF handle – HF cable
The corresponding unipolar connecting cable (see the “Recom-
mended accessories” chapter) can be connected via the HF
connection on the handle; the cable is in turn connected to an
HF generator. The respective permissible voltages [Vp] must be
observed. Please refer to the “Technical data” chapter for this in-
formation.
Instrument – access sys-
tems
To maintain endoscopic access to the patient, the outer sheath
including a working insert can be inserted percutaneously or
through an access system. The outer diameter of the outer
sheath including the working insert is decisive for the size of the
access system to be used.
LUER plug connector with
inner cone – LUER plug
connector with outer cone
The irrigation port can be connected to cleaning hoses using a
LUER plug connector. Please refer to the documentation accom-
panying the product for information on reprocessing. The inter-
face serves exclusively as a cleaning connector during repro-
cessing.
Components that are connected to an instrument and linked to an HF generator via an HF
cable form a single HF applied part.
When combining with other products, ensure that the planned use does not conflict with the
normal use. This can be found in the documentation accompanying the individual products.
