3.6 Peak voltage output
In combination with HF devices, this product must only be exposed to a specific, recurring
maximum peak voltage output. If the maximum permissible peak voltage output is exceeded,
the product may be damaged. Damaged products can result in injury to patients, users, and
third parties.
Select the generator setting so that the maximum permissible peak voltage output is not
exceeded; see
Technical data
.
3.7 Electrical contacts
If electrical contacts are damaged or poorly connected, this may cause flashover voltage and
product malfunctions.
Ensure that the contacts and connection insulation are in perfect condition.
Connect the connection correctly. There must not be any visible open electrical contacts.
Observe the locking systems and marker pins on the connection.
3.8 HF applied parts
HF applied parts can injure patients, users, and third parties if there is unintentional contact.
Do not place HF applied parts on the patient.
Do not let HF applied parts come into contact with conducting objects or liquids.
Check the product insulation for damage before each use.
If the insulation is damaged or missing:
Do not continue to use the product.
3.9 Tissue deposits due to coagulation
Coagulation leads to tissue deposits on the applied part. This impairs its function.
Remove any tissue deposits from the coagulation surfaces, e.g., with a sterile, moist
surgical pad.
3.10 HF electrodes
The HF electrodes are very hot directly after use. There is a risk of burns for patients, users,
and third parties.
Do not touch the HF electrodes directly after use.
Do not place them directly on the patient (or on the operating field).
Allow them to cool down after use.
3.11 Risk of explosion and fire
The product can generate sparks, which cause combustible or flammable gases and liquids to
ignite or explode. This may cause injuries to patients, users, and third parties.
The product must not be operated in oxygenated environments.
Do not operate the product in explosive atmospheres.
