10.1 Troubleshooting
Description of issue Possible causes Remedy
Cloudy picture, stripes,
streaks, or similar. – Lens of the C-MAC S
video laryngoscope
blade for single use is
soiled.
– Lens of the C-MAC S
PEDIATRIC IMAGER is
soiled
– Use a new C-MAC S
video laryngoscope
blade for single use.
– Clean the optical
surface of the image
chip and LED
illumination on the C-
MAC S PEDIATRIC
IMAGER with a cotton
tip applicator soaked in
70% isopropyl alcohol.
Complete failure of the de-
vice. Possible lighting up of
status display. – Power supply failure.
– Loose connection
between power supply
plug and socket on
device
– System error
– Check the power
supply.
– Push the power supply
plug firmly into the
socket on the device.
– Reset.
No picture, TFT screen dark – Connecting cable to C-
MAC monitor/C-MAC
PM not connected
properly
– Defective camera
electronics.
– TFT screen defective.
– Connect the connecting
cable to the C-MAC
monitor/C-MAC PM
correctly
