4.6 Display
Display as a bar chart Display in figures
In addition to the display format in figures (factory
setting), the measured value can also be displayed in a
bar chart format. The bar chart display enables a quicker
evaluation of the measurement results.
Night operating mode
Day operating mode
When conducting measurements in unfavourable
lighting conditions it is possible to change the display
from night operation (factory setting) to day operation.
The day operation display mode uses approximately 5
times more power than the regular display mode.
Therefore this display mode should only be used for
brief operating periods.
When switching the instrument on the low-power night
operation mode is always activated.
5. Menu: Device identification
The fixed data for the instrument can only be observed
under this menu option and not adjusted.
5.1 Device type
The divice type menu option displays HPM 3000+.
5.2 Serial number
The serial number menu option provides information
about the number of the respechtive instrument.
5.3 Versions
The versions menu option provides information about
the version of the software and hardware used.
5.4 Battery status
The battery status menu option displays the power
status of the battery.

6.1 Measuring value determination for wood

1. After selecting the desired type of wood press the
measuring head, in which the measuring needles are
located, into the wood to be measured.
2.The measurement is conducted automatically and the
measured value can now be read from the display.
The measured value changes as soon as the measuring
needles are removed. In order to conduct a one-off
measurement the Auto-Hold function must be activated
(see 4.4 Measured value display).
