7.1 Connection and operation of the
depth measuring sensor for conduc-
ting measurements inside plaster and
brickwork

When conducting measurements
deep in material youn will need to use
the pluggable depth measuring sen-
sor.
1.Drill two 6 mm diameter holes into
the material to be examined (max. up
to 23 cm).
2. The distance between the holes
should be 50 mm + - 20 mm, becau-
se a deviation of this range of toleran-
ce can falsify the measured value.
3. Select an appropriate drilling depth
in order to obtain a clear representa-
tion of the situation of the source of
moisture.
4. Place the measuring needle
adapter onto the measuring needles
on the HPM 3000+ and measure the
desired area with the depth measu-
ring sensor.
After drilling wait around 30 minutes
in order for the degree of moisture
that has evaporated as a result of the
drilling heat to reach its original value
