3.4 Hazard warnings
3.4.1 General hazard warnings
• Protect the device against heat, open flame, water and moisture. There
is a risk of explosion.
• Work on the electrical equipment must be performed by a qualified elec-
trician, or by a trained person supervised and guided by an electrician in
line with electrical technology rules.
• Only use the device with compatible 18 V batteries by STORCH. There is
a fire hazard.
• Do not cover the ventilation slots of the device. The device may overhe-
at. There is a fire hazard.
• Prevent ingress of liquids such as water and polish. There is a risk of
electric shock.
• Keep a tight hold on the device. Secure loose workpieces with a clamping
device or vice.
• Switch on the device before moving it up against the workpiece.
• Wait for the device to come to a standstill before depositing it.
• If the device is snagged, this can lead to loss of control over the tool.
• Always use appropriate protective equipment, eye and ear protection, and
a respiratory protection mask and protective gloves during use.
3.3 Product safety
3.3.1 Intended use
The device is designed for sawing, scraping, grinding and milling out jointing material.
3.3.2 Foreseeable misuse – NOT PERMITTED –
The unit is not suitable for working on very hard materials such as cement or concrete.
Material containing asbestos may not be processed.
