5.2.2.3  "Outdoor" sweeping mode

This  sweeping  mode  is  used  to  sweep  outdoor  areas,  such  as
parking lots, storage areas or driveways with concrete, asphalt or
paved surfaces. In this setting, only the sweeper rollers and side
brushes are activated, since the dust suction system and the work
light  (optional)  are  not  necessarily  required  for  outdoor  areas.
However, the dust suction system can be switched on, if required,
via the appropriate shortcut button (see Ch. ). The work light can
be activated via the control system menu, if it is required (see Ch. ).

5.2.2.3  "Carpet" sweeping mode

This sweeping mode is used to sweep carpet areas, such as retail
and  office  spaces.  Here,  all  functions  (sweeper  rollers,  dust
suction and work light) are activated, except for the side brushes,
since they would curl inward on carpet surfaces and thus generate
a high resistance. To sweep corners and edges, the side brushes
(de-)activated via the appropriate shortcut button (see Ch.).

5.2.3  Sweeper rollers

5.2.3.1  Activating the sweeper drive

The sweeper roller drive is activated by pressing the PASS (1). The
illuminated status LED (2) indicates that the sweeper roller motor
is now switched on. A manual lowering of the rear sweeper roller is
not required, since this is done automatically when the motor is
started.  The  wear  readjustment  is  also  controlled  by  this
automatic mechanism.

5.2.3.2  Deactivating the sweeper roller drive

To deactivate the sweeper roller drive it is also the PASS that

must be pressed (1). The motor is switched off and the status
LED turns off (2). The manual adjustment of the sweeper rollers
to the rest position is not necessary for this machine, since the
rear sweeper roller is raised automatically.

ATTENTION

- This sweeping mode may be used

only  in  combination  with  the  optional  carpet
package!  Otherwise  static  issues  can  occur
which are damaging the machine!
