The porcelain plates and stainless steel surfaces may get very hot.
Always hold plates at the end of the handle or use a tea towel/nap-
kin to carry them. Please observe the warning symbols on the appli-
ance and never touch the stainless steel surfaces.

Do not cover the appliance with cloths of any sort (fire hazard!) (4.).
Do not touch hot surfaces and always hold on to the handles (5.).
Only use original appliance parts.

The unit must be used with a grounded power supply (230 V /
50 Hz) (6.).
■

Only use power cables with a minimum current rating of 10 A.
■
■
Always pull on the plug, not the mains cable, when unplugging.
■

Do not immerse the appliance in water for cleaning (7.). Apart from
the porcelain plates, the appliance must not be placed in a dish-
washer (danger of short-circuit!). Follow the cleaning and care
instructions on page 35. Do not place or cook liquids of any kind on
the plates.

Ensure that the local mains supply matches that detailed on the
appliance type label.

Position the mains cable and any extension cables in a safe man-
ner to prevent a tripping hazard. Keep the mains cable away from
hot surfaces or objects and from naked flames (8.).

Remove the mains cable from the power supply and let the appli-
ance cool down before cleaning.

If the appliance is damaged or defective, remove the mains plug
immediately and take it to a professional electrical dealer for check-
ing and repair. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself (9.)!
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages or injuries arising
from non-professional repair.

Users, including children older that 8 years, and people who are
physically, sensorially or mentally handicapped must not operate
this appliance unless they are appropriately instructed and fully
understand the associated risks. Children must not play with this
appliance. It must be kept out of reach of children younger than 8
years old.
