Instructions (Cont.)
The Cooktop Timer
Your cooktop has a timer which you can set (from 1 to 99 minutes) for each
cooking zone to switch it off at the set time.
At the end of the countdown
period, the cooking zone for which the timer has been set will be
switched off automatically
. Other cooking zones will keep
operating if they had been turned on previously.
Setting the timer to turn one cooking zone off
• Select the cooking zone for which you want to set the
timer (Fig. 13).
• Select the heat level.
• Touch the TIMER button. The timer indicator will start
flashing, “30” will show in the timer display (next to the
TIMER button), and a red dot near the cooking zone will
be illuminated.
• Set the time by touching the [ - / + ] control(s).
• Touch the control once to increase or decrease the
time in 1-minute steps; touch and hold the control to
adjust the time in 10-minute steps.
• Touch the [ - ] control to reduce the time
outstanding to zero.
• Touch the TIMER button to cancel the timer
(Fig. 14).
• When the time is set, the countdown will start
immediately. The display will show the time remaining
and the timer indicator will flash for five seconds.
• When the cooking timer expires, the corresponding
cooking zone will be switched off automatically.
NOTE:
If you have set a timer for multiple cooking zones,
the shortest delay off-time will be shown on the display.
To check another zone’s delay off-time, press the
respective cooking zone control. The time then shown on
the display is the delay-off time for the cooking zone with
a flashing red dot.
