Other Useful Information (Cont.)
Descaling with water and vinegar:
– Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water.
– Let this mixture stand in the kettle overnight.
Do not boil
.
– Empty the solution from the kettle.
– Remove any stains remaining by rubbing with a damp cloth.
– Fill the kettle with fresh, clean water, let it boil and then discard the water.
– Repeat with clean, fresh water until all traces of vinegar are removed.
Water filter
There is an inbuilt filter located where the kettle's spout meets the body. This is
to ensure any larger items cannot pass through the spout.
You must ensure that the filter is kept clean and clear of deposits or other
blockages, otherwise the performance of your kettle may be adversely affected,
your drinks may contain scale particles, and the water inside the kettle may look
cloudy. You should clean the filter (following the descaling instructions outlined
on the previous page) whenever there are any noticeable deposits left on it, and
especially if pouring is affected in any way.
Storage
Before storing the appliance, make sure it is dry and unplugged. The power cord
may be wound around the cord storage underneath the power base. Store the
kettle in the original carton, which will protect it from dust, in a clean and dry
place, out of children's reach.
Service, repair and spare parts
Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the kettle or power base. The
unit contains no user-serviceable parts inside. If you have any problems with the
kettle, contact our after sales support centre for advice on repair or replacement.
Our after sales support centre stocks spare filters for the kettle. To purchase
a filter, call the centre on 1300 112 534 or contact web support at tempo.org/
support.
