10 Removing and Fitting the
Battery

Inserting the Battery
► Engage the chain brake.

► Push the battery (1) into the battery compart‐
ment (2) as far as stop.
The battery (1) engages with a click and is
now locked.

► Set the chainsaw on a level surface.

The battery (2) is released and can be
removed.
11 Switching the Saw On/Off
11.1
Turning on the Chainsaw
► Hold the chain saw by the control handle with
your right hand, wrapping your thumb around
the control handle.
► Disengage the chain brake.
► Hold the chain saw by the handlebar with your
left hand, wrapping your thumb around the
handlebar.

► Press and hold the lockout button (2) with your
thumb.
► Press the trigger (3) with your index finger and
keep it depressed.
The chain saw accelerates and the chain
starts moving. Release the locking button (2).
The more you depress the trigger (3), the faster
the saw chain runs.
If the ergo lever (1) is pressed, the trigger switch
(3) remains unlocked. This means the trigger can
be released and depressed again without having
to press the locking button again.
If the trigger switch (3) and the ergo lever (1) are
released, the trigger switch (3) is locked. The
locking button (2) must be pressed again and
held to unlock the trigger (3).
11.2
Switching Off
► Release the trigger.
The chain stops rotating.
