Throttle lever
► Start the engine.
► Move the throttle lever.
The engine speed changes.
► If the engine speed does not change:
► Do not use the tiller and consult a STIHL
specialist dealer.
The throttle lever is defective.
Gear lever
► Engage gear 0/R, 1 and 2.
► If one of the gears cannot be engaged:
► Do not use the tiller and consult a STIHL
specialist dealer.
The gear lever is defective.
Light switch
► Start the engine.
► Press the On switch.
The headlamp comes on.
► Press the Off switch.
The headlamp goes off.
► If the headlamp does not come on:
► Check whether the headlamp is defective.
► If the headlamp is not working:
► Do not use the tiller and consult a STIHL
specialist dealer.
The light switch is defective.

11.1
Placing the Front Wheel in the
Operating Position
► Detach retaining pin (1) and remove pin (2).
► Fold up front wheel (3) so bores (4) align.
► Insert pin (2) through bores (4).
► Push retaining pin (1) through the bore in
pin (2).
Pin (2) is secured and front wheel (3) is in the
operating position.
11.2
Adjusting the Blade Spur
The blade spur can be adjusted in eight stages.
► Place the front wheel in the operating position.
► Loosen screws (1).
► Detach retaining pin (2) and remove pin (3).
► Move blade spur (4) into the desired position.
► Insert pin (3).
► Push retaining pin (2) through the bore in
pin (3).
► Tighten screws (1).

Using the PTO Drive
► Stop the engine.
► Unscrew screws (1).
► Remove cover (2).
Switching the PTO drive on
WARNING
■ The engine is running if the PTO drive is in
use. If a gear is engaged, the tiller may start
moving uncontrollably. This may result in seri‐
ous injury to people or the tiller running them
over.
► Do not press the clutch lever for reverse
gear.
► Do not engage gears 1 and 2.
► Start the engine.
► Set the gear lever to position 0/R.
