Removing mounting hardware

Block the shaft

Using the combination wrench (1)

undo the nut (2) clockwise and

remove

According to version, remove rider

plate (3) and thrust washer (4)

Checking the thrust plate

The thrust plate is needed to mount all

cutting attachments on the gearbox.

The thrust plate consists of the hub (1)

with a captive guard washer (2)

mounted on it.

WARNING

Never use the thrust plate without the

guard washer. Thrust plates without a

guard washer must be replaced

immediately.

Fitting the guard ring

The appropriate guard ring must be

used according to the cutting

attachment used.
The following guard rings are mounted

on the gearbox or available as special

accessories:

Guard ring for mowing applications

For optimum shield when using brush

knives and shredder blades

Attach guard ring (1) for mowing

applications

Fit thrust plate (2) and guard
