The stability of the appliance must be ensured by fixing it to the
wall or floor.
For wall mounting on a sufficiently load bearing wall, there is a
hole in the appliance back panel near the wiring chamber.

Secure the appliance with a suitable screw to the wall to pre-
vent it from tipping over.
Alternatively, you can secure the appliance to the floor through
four holes (Ø 9 mm) in the feet.

Remove the air discharge grille, the front panel and the air
routing assembly (see chapter "Installation / Opening and
cleaning the appliance").

Secure the appliance to the floor with suitable screws.
12.5.2 Securing the appliance with ground clearance using
wall mounting brackets
With this type of installation, observe the following:
If a sufficiently load bearing wall is available, the appliance can
be fixed to the installation wall using the wall mounting brackets
provided. For this, the following applies:
- ETW 120-360 Plus: The wall mounting bracket can bear the
weight of the appliance.
- ETW 420-480 Plus: The wall mounting bracket must be sup-
ported with an additional support bracket (accessory).
- For a wall with a limited load bearing capacity, an additional
support bracket is required for the ETW 120-360 Plus appli-
ances (accessory).

Unscrew the two wall mounting brackets from the appliance
back panel.

Secure the wall mounting brackets to the fixing wall, tak-
ing the minimum clearances and the dimensions for the
hole clearances into account. (For dimensions, see chapters
"Minimum clearances" and "Specification / Dimensions and
connections").

Hook the appliance into the wall mounting brackets.
12.5.3 Installation with floor brackets
If no suitable fixing wall is available, secure the appliance to the
floor with the Vario floor bracket (accessory).

Secure the appliance to the bracket and the bracket to the
floor.
12.6 Inserting storage blocks
WARNING Burns
Broken insulation can lead to the casing overheating.

Check the thermal insulation in the appliance for transport
damage.
f
f
Replace faulty thermal insulation.
The appliance must be completely free of foreign bodies such as
parts of the packaging.

f
Remove the cover panel and cardboard inserts from the inte-
rior of the appliance.
The storage blocks are delivered in separate packaging. Storage
blocks with slight transport damage can be used. This does not
impair the function of the appliance.
