1 Shut-off valve
2 Pressure gauge screw
f
f
Remove the cap from the shut-off valve.
f
f
Turn the shut-off valve clockwise to shut off the cold water
inlet.
f
f
Remove the pressure gauge screw.
No water must drip from the shut-off valve.
f
f
If water drips out, the non-return valve is not leaktight. Re-
place the safety assembly.
f
f
If cold water drips, turn the shut-off valve anti-clockwise
briefly to open it and flush out any dirt. Then close the shut-
off valve again. If water continues to escape, replace the
safety assembly.
9.3 Shut-off valve
The shut-off valve is maintenance-free.
f
f
If the shut-off valve proves to be faulty, replace the safety
assembly.
9.4 KV 40: Pressure reducing valve
9.4.1 Checking the pressure reducing valve
f
f
Open the water supply pipe (floor shut-off valve, for
example).
f
f
Remove the cap from the shut-off valve.
f
f
Turn the shut-off valve clockwise to shut off the cold water
inlet.
f
f
Remove the pressure gauge screw and replace it with a pres-
sure gauge.
f
f
Open the shut-off valve and check the pressure.
f
f
If the pressure does not correspond to the maximum per-
missible pressure (see chapter "Specification / Data table"),
regulate the pressure by turning the quadrant at the pressure
reducing valve.
f
f
Check by drawing off water briefly. If the pressure rises,
clean or replace the pressure reducing valve.
9.4.2 Removing / cleaning the pressure reducing valve
f
f
Close the water supply pipe (e.g. floor shut-off valve) to shut

f
f
Clean the working part with clear, cold water.
f
f
Reinsert the working part. The selected output pressure re-
mains unchanged.
f
f
Install the top part of the valve.
