3. Appliance description
The sealed unvented (pressurised) appliance heats DHW in com-
bination with solar thermal systems by means of an indirect coil
or electrically.
The appliance features an integrated solar control unit and a
threaded immersion heater for reheating.
You can set the temperature for the electric heating using the
temperature selector. Subject to the power supply, the water is
automatically heated to the required temperature.
The internal steel cylinder is coated with special directly applied
enamel and is equipped with a protective anode. The anode pro-
tects the internal cylinder from corrosion.
Frost protection
The appliance is protected against frost so long as the power
supply is guaranteed, even on the cold temperature setting. The
appliance switches on in good time and heats the water. The ap-
pliance does not protect the water supply lines and the safety
valve from frost.
The solar control unit prevents frost damage to the collector in
regions where temperatures around freezing are reached on a
few days a year.
