• Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided on the circuits or outlet to be used for the
outdoor use flexible lighting product.
Receptacles are available having built-in GFCI protection for this measure of safety.
• Use only outdoor extension cords, such as type SW, SOW, STW, STOW, SJW, SJOW, SJTW, or SJTOW. This
designation is marked on the wire of the extension cord.
• The lamps (LED) are not replaceable.
• Do not cover this product as the covering may cause the rope light to overheat and melt or ignite.
• Do not use if there is any damage to the light or cord insulation. Inspect periodically.
• Do not operate with the rope light tightly coiled. To prevent overheating do not allow contact between rope light
cables and parts of light cables. Maintain at least 11.9 mm / 0.47 in spacing between rope light cables or parts of
light cables.
• Do not puncture, cut, shorten, or splice the rope light.
• Do not route the rope light cable through walls, doors, windows or any like part of the building structure.
• Do not submerge rope light in liquids.
• Secure this rope light cable using only the hangers or clips provided. Do not secure this product or its cord with
staples, nails, or like means that may damage the insulation.
• Do not install on gates or doors, where subject to flexing.
• Do not install in cabinets, tanks or enclosures of any kind.
• Do not connect the cord to the supply while it is in the packaging.
• This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock.
This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter or replace the plug.

• Swallowing may lead to serious injury in as little as 2 hours or death, due to chemical burns and potential
perforation of the esophagus.
• If you suspect your child has swallowed or ingested a coin cell button battery, immediately seek urgent
medical assistance.
• Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw or
other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if compartment is not secure.
• Dispose of used coin cell button batteries immediately and safely. Coin cell button batteries can still be dangerous.
• Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their children safe.
1. How to install the rope light
1.1
Fix mounting clips (E) with screws (D) onto wooden surfaces
and snap rope light (B) into place. (Fig. 1)
1.2
Mounting clips (E) should be evenly spaced and be a maximum
of 0.9 m / 2.98 ft apart.
1.3
Make sure that the distance between two lines of rope lights is at
least 11.9 mm / 0.47 in.
2. How to extend the rope light
2.1
Turn the plastic end cap counter-clockwise to remove from the
first rope light. (Fig. 2)
2.2
Remove power cord from the extension rope light. (Fig. 3)
2.3
Connect both ends of the ropes (the male and female halves plug
into each other). Make sure all connectors are firmly tightened
and secured. (Fig. 4)
2.4
Turn the plastic end cap clockwise to lock on the last rope light. (Fig. 5)
• DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ROPE LIGHT LENGTHS
PERMITTED BY THE MARKING. DO NOT EXCEED A MAXIMUM OF
5 ROPE LIGHT LENGTHS.
• All units must be unplugged before adding additional segment.
• Maximum total extension length 30.48 m / 100 ft.
Ensure all connections and the end cap on the last segment are tightly secured to prevent the entry of water.
Use only extension segments recommended by the manufacturer.
3. How to replace the fuse:
This plug contains an electrical fuse as a safety feature.
3.1
Disconnect power before replacing the fuse.
3.2
Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device.
3.3
Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
3.4
Slide the fuse access cover on top of attachment plug.
