14. Maintenance and wintering
14.1 Care
• Check the condition of the equipment every month.
• Clean the front of the box using a non-abrasive cloth with no cleaning product.
• Check that the electric connections are tight, including on the electrode.
• Check the electrode condition:

If cleaning is required, use a suitable product (Acidulor).

Do not scrape the electrode plates using a tool.
14.2 Winterisation
• When the pool water temperature is below 15° C.
• Switch off the electrolyser box.
• Completely drain the electrolysis vessel.
• Remove the electrode and rinse it with clean water.
• If the electrode needs to be cleaned, use a suitable product (Acidulor).
• Do not scrape the electrode plates using a tool.
• Store the electrode in a dry location.
• If the vessel is installed on a bypass, open the central valve and close the others.
• You can use the supplied electrode cap if necessary.
15. Manufacturer tips
Reduce your chlorine production when you close your pool bar cover or other type of cover:
You can connect the slatted cover cable (Slow Mode) supplied with your electrolyser, to a switch (not powered).
Indicate “Normal” and “Reduced” on it.
This switch replaces the slatted cover contact relay.
The user turns the switch to the “Reduced” position when the pool cover is closed.
Your electrolyser does not produce enough chlorine:
• Check your salt level (4 g/litre).
• Check your filtration times (filtration time = water temp / 2).
• Check all the water quality parameters.
• Check your Cover open and Cover closed power settings (if used).
• Check your electrode condition (clean if necessary).
• Increase the power of your electrolyser.
Your electrolyser produces too much chlorine:
• Check your Cover open and Cover closed power settings (if used).
• Reduce the power of your electrolyser.
• Install a timer between the filtration box and the electrolyser.
• Purchase and install the Stéredox U option to regulate pool chlorine levels.
